That's All Folks!

It has been an amazing year. I am still amazed that we got through the year without ever having to go remote.

Our last weeks were packed with learning and fun activities.

Here is our last photo blog for the year:

BUNNY STORIES

We practiced our narrative writing with first, next, and last cues. Then we made a poster.

EARTH DAY
We had our traditional Cheetah Walk on our nature trail on Earth Day morning. In the afternoon, Recycle Ricky, from LeMay, came to our school to teach us about recycling and show us his cool truck.

Math Games for Teen Numbers
When games are played, the mind relaxes and learning happens!

ABC Countdown- E Day- Experiment!
We made rainbows using markers, paper towels, and water. We observed capillary action--- the way plants bring water from roots to leaves.

 F is for Find
We had a scavenger hunt and went looking for a treasure.
Teddy Grahams for all!

G is for Garage Sale
Lots of treasures for all.

H is for Detective Hamrick
We had a lovely morning to walk to the Police Station. Detective Hamrick gave us the 411 on a police officer's job. Then we got a tour, and a vist through the police car! Thank you to our volunteer chaperones!

We Planted Pumpkins!
The children enjoyed watching the germination process. Watching plants helps us understand that not all things happen at the same time...just like our learning and understanding.

L is for Ladybug -we read Eric Carle's The Grouchy Lady Bug)

M is for Moustache!

U is for Unbirthday Day!
We celebrated everyone's birthday. Thank you to the Jensen's for providing the cupcakes! It was declared by many  to be the "best day ever!!!"

Beach Day!
We could not have asked for better weather! Thank you again to our intrepid volunteer chaperones!

Back at school the next day, we made Kindergarten memory books.
And so quickly.....it was time to say goodbye.......

It has been my honor to be your child's teacher. Thank you for your communication and support throughout the year. Have a revitalizing summer. Stay HEALTHY and we will see you in the Fall.
Happy 1st Grade to you all!
Ms. Rae
