 The end of October marks the start of joy filled days.  I hope your High Holidays bring family close, with health and prosperity in abundance! Veterans' Day It is a Cherrydale tradition to make cards for veterans. Mrs. Gonzales' husband takes our cards and places them on the dinner trays of veterans in the hospital. We hear that they are received with smiles and thanks. The Rainbow Fish Books go in and out of fashion. The children let me know that they did not  know this story of sharing and friendship. We read the book and made our own Rainbow Fish complete with sparkling scales. The children enjoyed the story. There are sequels if you would like to add to your library.   Directed Drawing Our reading theme was Shapes all Around. We learned that we can use shapes to draw!
